An organisation of people the world over with the surname of FILBY or its variants, FILBEY, FILBEE, PHILBY or PHILBEY, devoted to the study of the name derived from the village of FILBY, Norfolk in England - the genealogy of the various families with this name and the support of the Parish Church at Filby.

There are no annual dues or assessments, but anyone desiring to help the Association through donations should contact the Treasurer. Family data will be welcome as research is encouraged on a hobby basis.

The Association is not incorporated and is a not-for-profit organisation

We have made every effort and taken all reasonable steps to ensure that the contents of this site are correct. Genealogy is not a precise art, depending on old records etc. for our information, some being written in Latin or Old English Script with some of the documents being almost unreadable. If you find any information on this site that is not correct, contact Jim, who will be happy to correct the mistake and update our records. Where living people have been mentioned on this site, their explicit permission has been given, except for the PRO Indexes which are already in the Public Domain.
